When we think of butter pecans, we tend to think of a candy treat and not a healthy smoothie. However, this recipe uses caramel flavored protein powder to get that candy sweet taste, but with healthy pecans, bananas, and almond milk, it’s still a very healthy option. When we first saw that this recipe uses homemade pecan milk, we were definitely intrigued. This tangy, but sweet smoothie turned out delicious. A mix of apples, pecans, and spinach, make it an incredibly healthy treat. Plus, we are now inspired to add pecan milk to some of our other favorite smoothie recipes!
This recipe can be made ahead and stored in the freezer until use, making it even easier for a quick meal. Using a blend of pecan meal, oatmeal, and strawberries, this smoothie is so thick it could be eaten with a spoon. It’s hearty, buttery, and sweet, and loaded with protein and fiber.
